Old State Deli is a casual sandwich shop located at the Nittany Mall near Entrance B (east side of mall/PA 26 side). They serve up bagels, breakfast sandwiches, salads, soups, chili, a good selection of deli sandwiches & wraps, baked goods, chips, and Pepsi fountain drinks (self serve). This place is order at the counter with its own dining area with table seating. I stopped here for an early lunch. The soups were just about ready when I arrived here. I ordered the Half Deli Sandwich, Chili, and Fountain Drink Combo ($6.49 plus tax). The service was friendly and fast. The food was quickly made to order. I got a half sandwich with roast turkey, tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, pepperjack cheese, and 1000 island dressing on soft multigrain bread. This sandwich tasted pretty good and fresh. The chili was also pretty good and had a sweet flavor with 2 kinds of beans, peppers, onions, and ground beef. The ice cold Pepsi fountain drinks were very carbonated, just the way I like it. I would eat here again if I happen to be shopping at this mall. (4.25 stars)
